Gordon is a Consultant Urological Surgeon with specialist interest in prostatic disease, minimally invasive treatment of urological cancer and male sexual dysfunction. He is a recognised world leader in a number of areas of men’s sexual health and prostate disease.
He qualified in medicine at the University of Glasgow and did both general practice and surgical training in the Army. His Urology training was at St George’s and the Royal Marsden Hospitals, London, as well as time spent in France, Egypt, USA and Italy.
He has been a visiting professor at the Mayo Clinic and other US centres, at Beijing and Shanghai, many European and MENA Institutions, and Australia.
Committed to research and teaching, he has published over 150 papers in the fields of surgical training, erectile problems, minimally invasive prostate procedures and urological cancer. He runs regular international training courses for other specialists.
Having spent years developing and teaching minimally invasive techniques, Gordon sees his role as to help patients choose the treatment that is the best for them. He knows that “side effects” for surgeons can be life changing events for patients, and will never try to put a square peg in a round hole.
It is rare that this does not result in a good outcome and with a happy patient.
